I just spent 2 hrs @ Barnes & Nobles reading Joel Olsteen & felt inspired to share a few thoughts with everyone. Lets keep this chain of thought going & who knows when you will make a difference in someone’s life without even knowing it! I will quote……
“Happiness is not in our circumstances, make it a habit of living”!
It made me realize that its exactly what I’ve done in life……I’ve made a habit of always being happy despite the circumstances which would normally drag me down. And I feel that its facing everything that comes your way with a smile that helps one get through! Some of you may think that its easy for Samia to say that but…..BUT ITS NOT! It’s never easy for anyone! You can choose to cry about your perpetual dilemmas & enjoy the sympathy of others or you can say NO! I will not allow that. God gave me one life to live,HE has given me the ability to live it the way I want so I’m going to make the right choice & live every moment of it…….HAPPY. I may have made some wrong choices in the past but I will not live in regrets! With HIM always there, watching over me I will continue making a difference everyday in mine & someone else’s life.Something else I read which I strongly believe in & I quote again that
“God does not look @ what you did wrong ,HE looks @ what you did right!
Isn’t that amazing? I believe my life is a miracle,I’m alive & blessed with angels around me,people looking for an opportunity to help me,support me.HE has blessed me with a beautiful intelligent daughter ,I must’ve done something right in life to deserve that! There will always be situations & conflicts in life which will make us frustrated, depressed, upset but dealing with them with a positive attitude & happy mind, by not I quote “letting the storm around us get into us” will help in getting through. Make peace within yourself, happiness should be a state of your mind & you should not be searching for it in people or things.
So why am I quoting something from a book that you can go read yourself? What are the chances of everyone logging on to my site reading Olsteen ,a Christian pastor’s book? I’m posting this blog because I felt inspired,I happened to get my food for thought today by reading a book by someone who has different religious belief & who unknowingly made a difference in my life………..maybe I can too!
